Nice, France

Uncontested favorite layover to date.  Lived off of salami baguettes and wandered aimlessly for the entire day.  Ended up at the original city fort up on the cliff side.  No sand in sight.  The beaches are river-like stone.  Bring a nice beach mat when visiting Nice, which we will do, very soon. 

Malta

Mind bogglingly beautiful and way too much history to study in one lifetime.  Crystal clear ocean water and some seriously easy livin'.  This is a gem worth returning to.

Madrid, Spain

Perfect weather in a perfect European city.  Walked the town for 6 hours.  Stumbled upon a central       park-esque park next to the down town area.  Life was good for those 30 hours.

Johannesburg, South Africa

Not a true taste of Johannesburg.  This is the area around the hotel surrounded by an electrical wire security fence.  It's a bubble of happiness within a chaotic Jo-burg.  Every home is surrounded by an electrical fence. Not the safest town apparently.  Lots of delicious steak though.

Hamburg, Germany

First layover.  Many beautiful streets to walk.  Germans are a good looking health conscious people.  The schnitzel was incredible.
